This morning a fire broke out at a peripheral installation of the smelter at Umicore’s Hoboken plant.
No casualties are reported. The fire brigade extinguished the fire. The impacted installation is currently shut down while the rest of the plant remains in operation.
It is too early to provide additional details as to the origin of the fire or its financial and operational impact on the Hoboken activity.
