What you will be doing
• Set the project strategy : in/out scope, budget, milestones, deliverables, team requirements, roles & responsibilities…
• Interact with the Program Manager and obtain consensus on the project (procurement) strategy
• Present the project procurement strategy to the own hierarchy, and where required the project Steerco
• Identifies funding needs
• Interact with Category specialists & different Umicore departments
• Ensure correct implementation of tools, processes and standards throughout the project
• Manage external resources allocated to project, and ensure adequate mobilization
• Resolve issues, pro-actively manage risk
• Deliver on schedule and cost objectives of the project, regularly report status on project variance and schedule risks
• Have a clear overview of the project cash flow situation and requirements
• Document all project decisions as per corporate guidelines, based on a transparent risk assessment related to HSE, Schedule, Quality, Contract and Commercial aspects
• Drive for a strong commercial process
• Collaborates where required in internal and external audits (eg. qualification audits of new vendors or products)
• Manage vendors & contractors onsite, analyse the potential risk and recommend actions to mitigate the problems, implement the change management (if any)
• Serve with not only global projects but also regional/site project where PM located in
Who we are looking for
Functional requirements:
• University degree, in Engineering, Chemical, Economics or equivalent
• Multinational Enterprise working experience: above 5 years
• Purchasing management background of 3-10 years (in function of maturity level)
• Project Management experience: above 3 years
• Asset: procurement projects experience
• Strong presentation, communication, negotiation, contracting skills
• Competent (written and verbal) English (and/or Dutch)
• Computer literate with good working knowledge of the MS Office package
• Must have the Knowledge, Experience and Skills to conduct their tasks in accordance with the rules and procedures set down.
